These are done and just need to be washed. I will take a FO pic once they are done drying and have a drawstring.

After multiple froggings this is finally looking good! I am almost to the gusset and should have them finished by the end of the week Woo Hoo!!!

Finally done...the first official project of Squishy Knits!

Drum roll please.....my first double ruffle.

After what has been the longest craziest month ever I can finally see the end of this project. After much battling with the colorway, being sick, doing a b-day and Squishy starting preschool I give you my first double ruffle! I am very happy with the way it turned out. These will be finished tomorrow on their way to their owner by Friday. Thanks for your patience Jesi!

This is what you get when you turn your back and hear your toddler saying "I help mommy, I help". Can't wait to see how his definition of help expands as he gets older, lol. I don't know how but I didnt loose any stitches from him "helping".

These are finally behaving after frogging the leg 4 times....guess it wasn't the wrong needle size. I switched yarns balls (I split the skein to knit from both ends when the body started pooling) added a stitch and changed my tension and finally it looks like the legs will match!! WooHoo...hopfull they will be done tomorrow night. 

These are my current project. It's Parrot on BFL from Alphabette Zoope. These will be my first attempt at a double ruffle. I finished the 2nd leg only to realize I knit the first leg on the wrong size needle...UGH! How very Stacy of me but even though I can be a scatter brain I always realize my mistakes and get them fixed...I just wish I wasn't behind already because of this stupid cold that doesn't want to go away. Feelin quite yucky this morning. I'll be knitting the first leg on the correct needle today and starting the double ruffles tomorrow then onto the hat. All should be finished by Sat...Riley's B-day!!!!

Could the week get any crazier? My school., Riley's B-day, Riley starting part time preschool and I just had to get sick on top of it :(. I'm gonna need an award after this week. How come they don't reward the Mom and shower her with presents on her kid's b-day? She did all the work... We'll in my case Michael did help quite a bit but I did most of the work. He definitely didnt breastfeed for 21months!!!

Welcome

Ok here we go...guess this is the launch of Squishy Knits. Woo hoo!!! I needed some place to keep track of all my custom order/projects so Squishy Knits has been born. I am a SAHM to Riley who will be 2 on Saturday. I am also full time student. I have been knitting for almost a year and LOVE it. I would rather knit than do anything else most days. I love the idea of bringing basic knits at a bargin price to mamas who don't have alot to spend. They can get good quality...since I take much pride in my work...at an affordable price. The only thing I ask is for patience since I can't turn out a pair of woolies in a few days being a Mom, wife and full time student. Projects usually take me 1-2 weeks.

So keep an eye on my blog...I will be posting a customs list, link to my pics of previous work and work in progress pics. I will also muse about knitting, life with my nutty squishy baby and geeky hubby.
